Learning Git

So I’m trying to learn Git and Github. Why? I dunno – I suppose it’s something any literate person should know these days. What would I do with it? Good question. So anyway

So this looks like an interesting question – Github or Bitbucket. Never having heard of Bitbucket before, I’m curious. The important difference is that Bitbucket allows free private repositories.

The absence of (free) private repos in Github is somewhat daunting. It means that whatever I share is out there, in the world. But that may also be a benefit – not that anyone is likely to find any code I come up with, but if they do, they’re going to be able to critique it and, more importantly, improve it. But I really should take a look at Bitbucket.
